Women in the Corps -- Celebrating 50 Years

January 31 - February 2, 2025

Howdy!

The 2024-25 school year marks five decades since women first joined the ranks of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, WHOOP! All former cadets, their families, and friends are invited to join in the celebration of this milestone anniversary which will take place in Aggieland the weekend of January 31-February. Several events are planned throughout the weekend, and you have the option to register for as many or as few as you wish. To promote the spirit of our shared bond, attendance at the Saturday luncheon is reserved for former and current cadets only. Family members and guests are welcome to attend all other events. "Women in the Corps--Celebrating 50 Years" logo shirts, in two different styles, will be available for purchase at the registration link below. If you are unable to attend the celebration, shirts can be purchased on the registration form.

Friday, January 31, 2025

    Check-in & Cocktail Reception at Benjamin Knox Gallery

  •     Time: 1700-1930
  •     Location: Benjamin Knox Gallery, 405 University Drive East, College Station 77840
  •     Attire: Casual  
  •     Cost: Complimentary wine tasting - 12 Fires Winery, complimentary light hors d’oeuvres and cash bar

        Enjoy reconnecting with your buddies and meeting other former cadets and their families.  No advance purchase necessary, but please indicate the number of people who will be attending for planning purposes. Feel free to dig out your old outfit t-shirts and wear them with pride for this casual get-together.

    Check-in & Corps Facilities Tour

  •    Time: 0900-0930
  •     Location: Meet at the Sanders Corps Center 
  •     Attire: Appropriate for walking and outdoor weather

    0915 – Fish Drill Team performance on the Quad in front of Duncan 

    0930 – Cadet-guided tours in small groups will begin at the Sanders Corps Center and include stops at a Corps dorm and the Leadership Learning Centers (LLC).

Women in the Corps Networking Luncheon*

  •     Time: 1130-1330
  •     Location: Duncan Dining Hall
  •     Attire: Business Casual 
  •     Theme: Cadet Experiences - Sharing our Past and Present to Forge the Future
  •     Menu: Sandwiches and sides 
  •     Cost: $25.00

*Attendance at the luncheon is reserved for current and former cadets only.

** You are welcome to bring any Corps memorabilia, scrapbooks, or keepsakes you would like to share and display for all to enjoy. 

Meet and network with current cadets. Share the impact and influence your experiences in the Corps have had on your personal and professional lives and learn about today's Corps experience from current cadets through guided table discussions. Attendees will be assigned to each table in a manner that will provide diversity in class year and corps/professional experience. 

As this event is reserved for former and current cadets, we suggest family members and guests enjoy lunch close by at the MSC or on Northgate.

Corps Women's 50th Celebration Dinner

  •     Time: 1800-1900 social 
  •     1815 to 1900 photos with Reveille
  •     1900 - dinner and program
  •     Location: Jon L. Hagler Building- Texas A&M Foundation
  •     Attire: Business
  •     Theme: The Journey to our modern-day Corps.
  •     Menu: Delicious family style meal will be served.
  •     Cost: $100 per person 

    

Opening remarks followed by two panel discussions with former and current cadets. A short video honoring the last 50 years of our female cadets will be shown. We will close with our CCA board chair, Elianor Vessali ’98.

    

Sunday, February 2, 2025
    The following activities are offered for those who plan to stay in town and take part.
  • Enjoy gathering for breakfast or brunch in one of our local eateries in College Station or Bryan.

  • Local winery visits, Messina Hof, open 1100-1800, and Threshold Vineyards, open 1200-1700.

  • George H.W. Bush Library, open from 1200-1700. 

  • Enjoy Aggie Park, where the Moore Family Creamery will be open 1400-2000.

  • Texas A&M vs. Texas Women's Basketball game at 1700. We have a block of tickets available for purchase through a link on your registration email receipt for $20 each.
