Audit Committee Mission Statement

To ensure the fidelity of all financial transactions of the CCA through monitoring of receipts and expenses as reported by the Executive Director.  Annually, the Audit Committee will charge an independent CPA to review the financial statements, and perform tests as necessary, to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.  The Audit Committee acts as the interface between Texas A&M University and the CCA on issues regarding the required financial audit. The Audit Committee shall meet no less than annually to review the outside audit results and report to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

 

Marketing Committee Mission Statement

To bring actionable strategies to the CCA Board which bring positive attention to the CCA Mission of Promoting, Preserving, and Perpetuating the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets.  The Committee will monitor the success of the strategies approved by the Board through close coordination with Executive Director, CCA, and Committee members.

 

Membership Committee Mission Statement

To facilitate the growth of the CCA membership through promotion, networking, recruitment, retention and mentoring.

 

Finance Committee Mission Statement

To review financial documents and to provide recommendations with the highest possible standard of stewardship for the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association. 

 

Executive Committee Mission Statement

To review financial documents and to provide recommendations with the highest possible standard of stewardship for the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association. 

 

Nominating Committee Mission Statement

To seek out, vet and present qualified Board and Associate Board candidates dedicated to the CCA mission who are willing to provide time and talents in furthering the organizational goals. The Board of Directors has final vote in selecting Director and Associate Directors.

 

Development Committee Mission Statement

To focus on large corporations (public and private), prominent successful people, selected high net worth estates and family trusts and to raise future endowed funds (more than $25,000 up to $125,000) for specific programs, naming events, and selected activities all centered to improve the growth and benefit of the Corps of Cadets. It is expected the majority of the funds raised will be endowed and only the interest earned will be distributed on a yearly basis.

 

Compensation Committee Mission Statement

To review compensation for the Executive Director and CCA staff on an annual basis using market data for non-profit organizations to determine appropriate base salaries, bonuses and other compensation elements.  Based on this market assessment and prior year performance, the Committee then proposes and approves compensation adjustments with a follow-up report to the CCA Board.
